Hi. I’m William. I’ve lived in Toronto for over 25 years, and I started TOREVENT.ca because I was tired of missing good shows in my city.
After the pandemic, I wanted to dive back into everything this world-class city has to offer — concerts, raves, comedy, underground film. But finding out what was actually happening was a mess. Even when I followed venues and promoters directly on social media, I’d sometimes find out about great events after they’d happened.
So I built TOREVENT.ca — a free, manually curated Toronto events calendar. No ads. No paywalls. No algorithm deciding what you see. Just a site that tells you what’s going on — when, where, and how to be there.
What It Is
TOREVENT is a free, independently curated calendar of arts, entertainment and cultural events in Toronto.
I gather event information from venues, organizers and other sources, and review events submitted through the site. Those details become searchable event listings, with links to tickets or more information. Everyone’s on equal footing—no paid placements, no exclusives.
TOREVENT publishes event information. The events themselves are run by their organizers and venues. Ticket purchases, payments and refunds are handled by the organizers or ticket providers linked from each listing.
I work to keep listings accurate, but details can change and updates may not reach me right away. Please confirm the current information with the organizer before buying tickets or heading out.
For more information, read the Terms & Disclaimer.
Submit Your Events
Anyone can submit something using the red Submit an Event button in the top-right corner of the site. It's totally free. If you upload your own poster or image, your event will stand out — I don’t copy promo/poster art without permission. Read the Submission Guidelines before submitting.
Why It Exists
I want to help people stay connected to the amazing cultural events going on in Toronto every day, locals and tourists alike. I also want to level the playing field for all the smaller venues putting on events — they often have a really difficult time getting the word out. A simple calendar like this lets people see the huge variety of choices there are to get out and enjoy the culture Toronto has to offer. Spending $200 on a concert ticket doesn't guarantee a good time — sometimes checking out a smaller venue with local (or visiting from out of town) artists can be way more fun! I don’t make money off this. I just really, really want you to know there’s an experimental noise show tonight in a basement that might blow your mind.
